Now I’m ending this blog…

Some while ago I get some strange comments linked to this blog, after a while I understand that I get ugly bugs.
So now I can’t link sites to this blog, I can’t search for the blog at internet and if you are one of all the good visitors, you know that you have to answer if you aloud this site or not.
I can’t add photos and text as before etc.
I don’t know how I will do with it, so after thinking… and thinking… I will end this site and started a new one… I hope you will visit my new blog, later on.

I’m grateful!

This cactus has giving flowers twice this year… I have been involved in two blogs so far…
First it was the jewellery project blog, an collaborate by internet with jewellery artist all around the worlds, a project who was going on for two years and ending up last year with exhibitions in Oslo in Norway, Nääs in Sweden and in Krakow, Poland…

Then I started this blog, the f-art blog, to show people what’s going on between shows of jewelleries… What inspired me in my works and what I’m doing in the time between, showing the process… I think this blog has giving me perspective of my own work, what I’m doing with my time and that I have a good life with a lot’s of happenings… I also think that the blogsystem is sooooooooooo interesting, it’s gives you (me) new contacts, you can see a lot of really good things in others blogs and it’s a nice way to helping each other to spread they things… Rings on the water are a good image.

But now I have to move further… I will ending this blog and start a new one…

We had a really nice day, a calm photo session day, drinking coffee at the rocks, taking walks in the area, seeing all spring signs in the nature and get happy to be outside in ocean air…

I really, really like Amailas showcases and I can absolutely warmly recommend stopping by the gallery. It’s an interesting mixed of found objects and I like the touch of the Catholicism in it… mixed with our “Swedish” traditions to use drift-wood.

Rosa Sofia Ingeborg Taikon, född 30 juli 1926 i Tibro, är en svensk silversmed och samhällsdebattör.
Hon är syster till Katarina Taikon och bosatt i Ytterhogdal i Hälsingland.

Taikon kom in på Konstfack vid 35 års ålder och utbildade sig där till det silversmedsyrke som bland män var traditionellt i hennes familj.
Sedan har hon moderniserat och omtolkat romernas traditionella silversmide.
Några av hennes arbeten återfinns i Nationalmuseums och Röhsska Museets samlingar.

Minst lika känd är hon dock som förkämpe för romers rättigheter och plats i samhälllet.

Fredag klockan två. Allt är på plats i montrarna och belysningen är finjusterad så att varje föremål kommer till sin rätt. Rosa Taikons silversmycken strålar och glänser med en intensitet som nästan tar andan ur betraktaren.

Samma liv, samma intensiva glans som från smyckena möter jag i Rosas ögon när hon kommer emot mig och säger välkommen till Ahlbergshallen.

Hon är fyllda 80 men blicken är ung.

KOm ansvaret att föra den gamla romska smidestraditionen vidare:

- Min far Johan Taikon höll på att bli den siste silversmeden bland svenska romer. Kanske var det tänkt att min bror Paul skulle ta vid efter honom, men Paul blev mördad av rasister. När de båda var borta slog det mig: Tänk om jag skulle försöka ta mig an det här och gå vidare i fars fotspår.

ROSA SÖKTE SIG till kursverksamheten vid Stockholms universitet och lärde sig grunderna på en kurs om 74 timmar. Tog sen med sina smycken och stegade upp på Konstfack. Kom in, ägnade fem år åt intensiva studier och var färdigutbildad vid 40. I dag är hon oomstridd som en av de allra främsta silversmederna i Sverige och dessutom känd långt utanför landets gränser.

KOm glädjen och stoltheten över den förändring av romernas levnadsförhållanden som hon och hennes syster, författarinnan Katarina Taikon, lyckades åstadkomma:

- Katitziserien är ju mest känd, men det var med Katarinas första bok "Zigenerska", som kom 1963, det började. Under några år bodde vi nästan i riksdagshuset, demonstrerade och uppvaktade.

K Om sorgen över Katarinas sjukdom och bortgång:

- Hon offrade sin hälsa i kampen för romernas rättigheter.

K Om allt som finns kvar att göra:

- Jag måste fortsätta att åka runt och berätta. Rasismen har börjat breda ut sig igen och det oroar mig. Vi har ju ett uppväxande släkte romer och jag önskar att de ska kunna säga "jag heter Taikon" när de söker ett jobb - och få jobbet.

SILVERSMED och opinionsbildare, Rosa Taikon brinner för båda sina livsuppgifter.I samband med utställningen på Ahlbergshallen passar hon på att sälja Katitziböcker, av vilka flera titlar inte längre går att få tag i bokhandeln.

At Wednesday I was at the Röhsska museum. I use the toilet and I thought it was an interesting experience, the new director of the Röhsska museum what reach a younger audience, and if you look into the toilets, he has success with this… It was not an “adult” toilet, it was like be at a youth club, so congratulation, the younger once have found Röhsska.

After the exhibition opening and a lot of “geléhallon”/ jelly raspberries later, it was a nice ending with Therese and her cousin Annika at the restaurant; Tre Indier.

Times between the preparing and the opening day…

The first day I started with the exhibition, it was a nice sunny spring day… on the backside of the gallery it was a lovely inner yard… I took a coffee with my friend Janina at Haga Bion, I was so tired after a full day working with the exhibition… I add some opening cards at Haga Bion at the same time… On my way home I passed a window with a “crazy” installation in it… A big woman and a small man…

Preparing the exhibition…

It’s three parts, one wall with photos, jewelleries on body, one wall with branch and bird necklace/objects and the third part is an island of 9 opened showcases with plastic grass on…
You can touch the jewelleries, but not take them away from the showcase, I have stitch them into the plastic grass…

I want to create a light feeling, to have a lot of space in this show room; I also want to create a happy/funny/colourful feeling… All the material that I use has nice colourful colours…

I working with my jewelleries as unisex jewelleries, I think that everyone who likes them also can wear them…

It’s a hard work to prepare n exhibition and for some days it was too little sleep, just spinning around figure it out; what’s the best way to do it etc.

Lucky I have two friends helping me with some of it! Thank you; Therese and Janina!

I have to say that I find these jewelleries made by Peter Hoogeboom very interesting and amazing beautiful… The necklace on the opening card has taken 3 month to do and the others about 3-4 weeks, full time.
It would be nice to hear this jewellery on body, yes, I mean hear, because I think they have a nice and calming sound… Peter told me that the one with paper - porcelain clay sound a little bite like the Tingeling from the Peter Pan fairytale in the Disney world… I can image how it sounds, like “pliiiing, pliiing” in a quiet way…

I bought a brooch from him, I ´m glad that I did it, nice to have jewelleries from jewellery artist that you like.

It’s amazing when everything is covered with wiped cream (snow).
When the whole landscape turns into another shape, a bright white feeling, and even if it’s a grey sky, it’s some kind of light that makes you happy and when the sun is shining in all this grey and white… It’s sooooooooooo fantastic!

I hope this is/will be my last winter/snow photos, because I longing for the spring and the summer… And with all this snow the spring is so far away and all the spring flowers with there flowers is covered by this snow blanket.

Välkommen till min utställning på Galleri Kaustik i Göteborg.

Jag visar smycken gjorda av vardagsmaterial, plast, loppisfynd och glaspärlor.
Att ta tillvara det vi omger oss med och ladda det med ett annat värde; transformera eller försköna, möjligen uppröra men framför allt beröra, detta intresserar mig och gör mig nyfiken vart gränsen går... Därför titeln ”allt är relativt”.

Welcome to my exhibition at Gallery Kaustik in Gothenburg.

Opening at 5th of April to 26th of April, 2008.

I am showing jewellery that utilises everyday materials such as plastics, flea market finds and glass beads. I aim to make precious what we have in our surroundings and I have instilled these materials with a new value. Transforming them and adding beautify, sometimes this is disturbing and sometimes touching. It is interesting for me to see how far I can push these limits, therefore the title is "everything is relative".

It’s hard to understand that it was a nice sunny spring time feeling last week… Today we got a lot of snow here in Gothenburg and I think its beautiful and it’s lighting up the surroundings, BUT at the same time I really hate the snow… I can’t take my bicycle and I have a lot of things to do down town and I’m working this evening… So I have to take the tram and walk…

Sushi time!

I love Sushi!!! I can live at only Sushi if it’s necessary, no problem at all…
But my friend wasn’t so comfortable with Sushi or the chopsticks; it’s the first time ever that I see someone eating Sushi with a knife and a fork, really cute…

I got an article from a friend in US about street art, she knows that I look behind street signs and almost everywhere when I’m out walking… I think its creative people who done this kind of art and I think it’s nice for us who can take part of all these amazing ideas around us in our surrounding. I also like to document it with my digital camera, just to remind me of the creativity, that the creativity could have different shapes…

I don’t like everything that I see, and some of it I don’t understand, but I don’t think that’s a big deal… the main idea is that people try to do something…

I think we have really good street arts here in Gothenburg and Sweden, but it’s always interesting to see other cities and countries street art too…

Sunshine before “rain”, in this case it was sun before a hail shower, an amazing sky!
When I look in one direction the sky was dark blue and when I look at the other direction the sun was shining…

I think that this kind of spaces are interesting, may be not for all the messages, more for the “new” patterns how is create by it self on this notice boards. No one takes care, but something is happened anyway… Chaotic, in a good way.
